Funmilayo is an Associate in our Corporate & Commercial, Startups, Immigration, Labour and Employment teams.
She attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where she graduated with Second Class Honours (Upper Division). She therefore proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was admitted to practice law as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Funmilayo is dedicated, intelligent and highly regarded by her peers as a brilliant lawyer with commercial awareness. Prior to joining Mandel Solicitors, she was a State Counsel in the Oyo State Ministry of Justice where she represented the state in legal matters. She constantly advises local and foreign clients on diverse legal issues that border on foreign investments, company registrations, FinTech licensing and regulatory compliance among others. She is part of the team that advised a foreign client on regulatory compliance issues and obtaining Payment Solution Services Providers (PSSP) license from the Central Bank of Nigeria.
